Chilean Volcanoes Backcountry Expedition | 10 days & 9 nights | Vertic Travel
The Huemul Package is Vertic Travel's most wild and immersive mountain expedition: a 10-day, 9-night backcountry ski touring journey through the volcanic landscapes of southern Chile.
Over the course of the expedition, you and your group (minimum 4, maximum 6 guests) will ski three active volcanoes: Lonquimay (2,865 m), Villarrica (2,847 m), and Osorno; each one a world-class backcountry terrain with pristine snow, ancient araucaria forests, and uninterrupted Andean panoramas. Every day in the mountains is led by a UIAGM-certified guide, the highest international certification in mountain guiding.
Off the slopes, the experience is equally exceptional. A private chef prepares breakfast, mountain lunch packs, and gourmet dinners every day across a series of exclusive private houses, no shared hotels, no crowds. Two sessions at the Malalcahuello hot springs, a traditional spit-roast cordero al palo evening under the southern stars, and a curanto al hoyo feast complete a culinary journey as memorable as the skiing itself.
Domestic flights (Santiago → Temuco and Puerto Montt → Santiago), airport fees, a night at the Mandarin Oriental Santiago, mountain and backcountry rescue insurance through Global Rescue, and a digital album and reels are all included.
This is not a ski holiday. This is an expedition shaped for those who want the real Chile, raw and unfiltered.

- Free cancellation up to 72 hours before the experience start.
- 50% charge for cancellations between 72 and 24 hours before start time.
- No refund for cancellations with less than 24 hours notice or no-shows.
- Weather or force majeure cases are reviewed individually for rescheduling.

Deposit: 30% on booking. Remaining 70% due 60 days before departure
